Cryptcraft

Cryptcraft (previously Gooseblocks) is a minecaft server owned and operated by Hallows and frequented by members of The Crypt. It's gone through many iterations. Often updated with a new map alongside minecraft releases, played for a week and then forgotten about, the server was the original purpose of Goosebumps Chumps and subsequently The Crypt.

History

Created originally as a realm in 2019, it was a extremely base vanilla survival world. Midway through the first world, it was transferred to garbage hosing service ShockByte, allowing it to have plugins and major life improvements.

Every year the server is used for a Halloween Building competition with a prize drawn by server owner Hallows.

Whenever the world was an origins server it was referred to the "RaciSMP".

Worlds

A list of cryptcraft world versions, likley inaccurate and out of order as its hard to remember them all and documentation is difficult to find due to deletion of relevant chats.

1.0: a vanilla survival world on 1.14, originally a realm, before being migrated to a hosted server. This world was used for a few months until the 1st "worldedit incident" in which Hallows accidentally deleted half the world with the plugin worldedit and so it was abandoned.

2.0 a new vanilla survival world on 1.15, added for the bees update. A nether hub with ice paths was constucted. This world added an image on maps plugin that resulted in obonga and contained iconic imagery of obama welcoming members to the server. Hallows built a boat on an island and constructed a chunk error. The 1st Halloween contest took place, won by Tarantino with an interactive maze.

3.0 a shortlived skyblock server that only lasted a few days.

4.0 the first modded pixelmon server that featured the introduction of the icon, Turtle. This world featured gyms and set gym leaders. It also began the tradition of a dirt village occupied by dirt people. This server persisted a long time and many things were built, including a whole village, a whole castle, a church with a graveyard, shark home in the badlands, a ghost ship and a lighthouse.

5.0 this world was another vanilla survival, but this was the first gimmick vanilla world. The whole world was set to be a warm ocean biome, forcing members to survive on islands. This world was a disaster as members were unable to get most materials. Hallows tried and failed to setup a shop.

6.0 a modded survival world, using a nature modpack designed by hallows, with a focus on animals and farming, with thauumcraft. Infamous for adding a mod where pigs had dicks and having broken spawns that resulted in 1000 turtles that flooded and lagged a river.

7.0 I think there was a second pixelmon server somewhere here. It was very underused and mostly just frequented by Kanna. The spawn was near a modded taiga biome and not much was built.

8.0 a vanilla superflat creative world. Jfk was built here before he was cool and almost the entire of undertale. The 2nd annual Halloween contest took place here in 50×50 plots, won by Nyx with a haunted house adventure map.

9.0 the first modded origins server using the fabric mod loader. A huge hit with the crypt heads. Nyx did a lot of trolling and hallows was op and ate a lot of llamas.

10.0 another pixelmon server. This one contained a mod allowing members to use a pixelmons model, leading to the "breeding" incident. This one went a lot better. This world insisted on houses being built closely knit. All the trees were stripped of leaves which herobrine deniers insisted must have been the wind. Also the origin of the bed denial phenomenon. Backpacks placed on the ground crashed the player and anyone nearby.

11.0 a vanilla survival server on 1.17.1. Hallows built another boat and dug up the whole ass world in an attempt to build Las Vegas and never followed through on it.

12.0 the 2nd modded origins server. This one added many more origins and allowed. Everyone built nearby, the spawn area ended up very popular, a huge herobrine statue was erected and a horse was hanged in his honour. The 3rd annual Halloween contest took place here, Demure won with a puzzle adventure map.

13.0 another vanilla superflat creative world. This world had the animal fighting ring and the fox plinko. Demure built a whole parkour course. The villagers were enslaved.

14.0 3rd modded pixelmon server. This server had many added biomes, people once again chose a type to base their teams around but this time they were encouraged to build a town, ect. lavender town was built.

15.0 the 3rd modded origins server, unlike prevous origins this added many additional worldbuilding mods. This world also did origins + classes allowing people to pick their species as well as a profession that gave a bonus to stats. This world also had the gimmick of picking pairs to work together.
